I always love the idea "try before you buy" and this was exactly the purpose of
SampleSource - another platform that sends their members' free samples of makeup, beauty care, household cleaning, even food, and snacks so they can try it and make smart shopping decisions. I recently join and got my first box of samples last month. What's inside? Read on.
After registering to SampleSource and completing your profile, you will be eligible to choose samples you would like to try that match your profile, and these samples are usually available during Spring, Summer, and Fall. They will email you once samples are available and you need to act fast since samples are only available while supplies last!
I was fortunate enough to pick 6 samples to try, and these are the following:

- RepHresh Vaginal Gel
- Trojan Lubricant
- Beyond Cereal Protein Bar
- Clairol Root Touch-Up Hair Color - Coupon
- Breathe Right Nasal Strip
I loved everything inside the box and was excited to try them all when I received them. I already used the products from this samplesource box except for the Trojan Lubricants. So here are my honest opinions about each of these items.
1. Method Laundry Detergent in Ginger Mango Scent
I never heard of this brand before, and this was the first time I saw a detergent in a recyclable 240 ml bottle that looks like more of a feminine wash or a hand soap. But I was impressed by how this detergent works from its smell to its cleaning power! This brand offers a variety of scent, and I was able to try the Ginger Mango one. The combined smell of ginger and ripe mango created a clean, mild and sweet scent that smells great! With its naturally derived ingredients and without the harsh chemicals from other detergents, you'll be amazed at how it works tough on the dirt of your clothes. I would highly recommend this product to those who are planning to go all natural not only with foods but also with detergents.
2. RepHresh Vaginal Gel
Everyone has their first on everything, right? Yep, it was my first to try this RepHresh Vaginal Gel. I felt uncomfortable when I first saw this and thought it might be complicated to use. But this product came with an instruction sheet, and I found out that it was not really that hard to use. It's also safe to use as it has been clinically tested and does not contain any fragrances, colors, deodorizers, or drugs fo any kind. It was also not messy to use and can be used anytime though it is not recommended during your period. This gel claims to maintain healthy vaginal pH that in turn can help reduce the risk of vaginal issues. It also claims to eliminate vaginal odor and relieves feminine discomfort. As far as I can tell, it was a good first-time experience for me and might consider using one of this again.
3. Trojan Lubricant - Chain Reaction
Unfortunately, I can't say more about this product as I haven't used it yet. So, I will just quote what it says on the packaging:

4. Quest Beyond Cereal Protein Bar - Cinnamon Roll Flavor
I won't deny it, this cinnamon roll protein bar was the first thing I grabbed from my samplesource box, and it was gone in an instant! I always love the cinnamon smell and the sweetness of its taste and Quest perfectly incorporated all the goodness of a cinnamon roll in this cereal protein bar. Although it tastes like a treat and a dessert, it has all the protein you need, and it has a decent nutritional profile for health-conscious people's preference. This is also the first Quest product that uses Allulose, a revolutionary sweetener found in nature that offers all the taste and texture of traditional sugar, but with only 1/10th of the calories! With this protein bar, you can eat a sweet without guilt. :)
5. Clairol Root Touch-Up Hair Color (Coupon)
This was one of the products I was excited about. I love hair color and regularly use them since I often grow gray hairs. This coupon just came right in time as my gray hairs are coming out from the roots. I immediately claimed and used it.
I chose the Clairol Root Touch-Up in Burgundy color since it's the last hair color I applied to my hair. The box comes with an applicator brush, permanent color creme, color activating lotion, a small mixing bowl, and an instruction sheet.
Preparation wise, it's the same as other hair colorants. It has a strong chemical smell which I dislike. The color matches my current hair color which was excellent, and the results are significantly delivered. The color lasted for about a month.
6. Breathe Right Nasal Strip - 2 strips
These nasal strips were perfect for my husband since he has nasal congestion and nasal snoring at night. I can say that it's effective since it reduces his snoring and it relieves his nighttime nasal congestion. And it's good to know that it's drug-free. We can now both sleep better.😀😁
Overall, I love all the samples I received from this box. But the things I will for sure buy upon trying are the Quest Beyond Cereal Protein Bar, Method Laundry Detergent and the Breathe Right Nasal Strips for my husband.
That's about my first SampleSource box, and I am now looking forward to receiving the next sample box coming this Summer!
